My name is Mariella Gutierrez, I am an 17 year old animator/illustrator [and occasional musician] born and raised in the Bay Area, currently attending Oakland School for the Arts. I focus my work mainly on the eclectic and unusual, emphasizing fashion, aliens, clashing patterns and textures, and my love for alternative or "weird" forms of expression. I draw the people I see around me when I go out while living in the Bay Area. Among those who inspire me are Goths, Punks, New-Romantics, Cat ladies, Queers, mythical or extraterrestrial creatures, and drag queens! all those who fall in the realm of fabulous and outrageous "out of the ordinary" expression.

I focus on mainly character and fashion illustration in my free time, and building my own little stories through film, music, and drawings!
